Giorgio Borruso

Internationally renowned Italian architect Giorgio Borruso is founder and principal of GIORGIO BORRUSO DESIGN, an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design studio celebrated for its innovative works ranging from architecture to interiors and industrial design. GIORGIO BORRUSO DESIGN's work has been featured in over 1,000 publications and has received over 180 international awards, including the 2014 International Architecture Award (Chicago Athenaeum Museum), 2013 Global Excellence Award (IIDA), six Red Dot Design Awards including 'Best of the Best 2012', and Practice of the Year 2012 (FX International Design Award). Borruso's work has been described as experiential, sculptural, streamlined, organic, constructed utilizing unusual combinations of materials and developing strong ties with the surrounding context.

Borruso's projects have been exhibited worldwide and he is a frequent guest lecturer at universities and conferences, speaking about innovation and experiential design. He is currently on the advisory board of DesignRetail magazine and has sat on the jury of several prestigious design competitions, such as GOOD DESIGN, Architectural Record, India’s VM&RD, IIDA and Contract’s Interiors.
